
Neil Young, 62, who is probably best known for his hit Heart Of Gold, will be at the Playhouse in Edinburgh on 3 March, and then for four nights at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, as well as following these dates with another two nights at the Apollo in Manchester.
Toronto-born Neil Young, besides being known for his loud grunge-rock style of guitar playing, is also famed for his sensitive acoustic side, as well as his outspoken political protest songs like Rockin' in the Free World and Ohio.
Neil Young will be playing songs from Chrome Dreams II, a follow-up to his 2006 album Living with War, a controversial collection of songs protesting against the war in Iraq and calling for the American president to be impeached in Let’s Impeach the President.
The NME music paper’s website has revealed that Neil Young will be playing two sets at each gig - an acoustic set and an electric rock performance.
