The Abba museum will have three floors and will include a wardrobe room displaying the band's famous fashions.
Abba, who came to fame with a series of hits in the 1970s and by winning the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, have given their support for the museum, and will be donating clothing, musical instruments and other memorabilia.
A statement by Abba said: "It is nice someone feels compelled to take on our musical history."
A disco room will give fans and visitors to the museum the chance to dance to Abba hits.
The Abba museum organisers hope to attract 500,000 visitors a year.
