Pop singer Amy Winehouse booed at Birmingham gigPop singer Amy Winehouse was booed by fans during a poor performance she was giving on the first night of her current tour, which had opened in Birmingham.
Amy Winehouse, 24, dedicated a song to her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently remanded in custody at Pentonville Prison pending the outcome of charges of perverting the course of justice and assaulting a pub landlord.
Amy Winehouse, who had cancelled a series of summer gigs due to "health issues," is reported to have told the audience: "To them people booing, wait 'til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that." However, Amy Winehouse sang her hits including Back To Black, Tears Dry On Their Own and Rehab, although whilst performing a cover of The Zuton's Valerie she stopped singing dropped her microphone and left the stage. Amy Winehouse was supported by Remi Nicole and Jamie Cullum, who toured with her in the past.
