Rock singer Meat Loaf ended Newcastle gig earlyAmerican rock star Meat Loaf ended a concert in Newcastle after just an hour, leaving many fans very disappointed and concerned after he thanked them and left the stage.
Andrew Miller, who is Meat Loaf’s tour promoter has denied rumours that the singer told the audience that he was never going to perform again.
Andrew Miller explained that 60-year-old Meat Loaf was both exhausted and suffering from stress and he said: "It's not his last ever gig, that's for sure." Meat Loaf’s promoter added that he hoped the star’s gig in Birmingham on Friday would go ahead planned. Meat Loaf had started singing Paradise on the Dashboard Light when he suddenly stopped, thanked the crowd and left. This was followed by an announcement saying that Meat Loaf had been taken ill. Meat Loaf has had his career blighted to some degree by health problems in recent years, and he had collapsed on stage at London's Wembley Arena in 2003.
