Legendary pop star Sir Cliff Richard will be performing at the Wembley Arena for the sixtieth time in his career next year, as part of his Time Machine tour, which celebrates his 50 years in the music industry.

Sir Cliff Richard, who is famous for hits like Living Doll, The Young Ones and Summer Holiday, will play three nights at the London venue.

Cliff RichardCliff Richard, having played the venue 60 times, is already Wembley Arena's most popular act, and beats Luther Vandross, who played there on 44 occasions.

Sir Cliff Richard performed for a 5-night run at the Wembley Arena in November 2006.

Wembley Arena was built for the 1934 Empire Games, and originally contained a swimming pool, and Sir Cliff Richard made his first appearance there in 1960, when it was still known as the Empire Pool.

Cliff Richard’s first headlining show at the venue was in July 1984, when he got back together with backing group The Shadows.

Sir Cliff Richard's most recent recording project is an album of duets, including new material with Brian May, Dionne Warwick, Barry Gibb and Daniel O'Donnell, as well as some previously recorded duets with artists such as Elton John and Olivia Newton-John.
