New album by Britney Spears entitled Blackout

Pop singer Britney Spears has her first studio album in four years being released next month and entitled Blackout.

A spokesperson for Britney Spears’ record label Jive explained that its title "refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully," and this is something Britney Spears wants to do having been through a very bad patch in her personal life and in the press coverage she’s received.

Britney Spears, 25, has been through a divorce from Kevin Federline, been in rehab several times, separated from her management company, and been charged with a hit-and-run driving offence. To top it all Britney Spears has just lost custody of her two sons as well.

However, despite all that and a terrible performance at the MTV Awards Britney Spears' comeback single, Gimme More, is already number three in the American singles chart, and with her new album Blackout released on 12 November in the UK and the following day in the US, it looks like Britney Spears is heading for the top again.
