Phil Spector, 67, who is famous for pioneering the "Wall of Sound" recording technique in the 1960s, is getting a new legal team to defend him after Roger Rosen, his main lawyer, decided to leave the case, and two colleagues will follow his example.
Roger Rosen explained that he wanted to focus on other clients.
Phil Spector is charged with murdering Lana Clarkson on 3 February 2003 at his home in California, which he denies and the defence claimed that she shot herself.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler set another hearing for the case on 23 October, and if he is found guilty of murdering Lana Clarkson, Phil Spector faces between 15 years and life imprisonment.
