French honours for former Bond Girl Michelle Yeoh
France's top civilian honour, the chevalier of the Legion of Honour, has been awarded to former Bond Girl, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh.

Michelle Yeoh, 45, who is engaged to Formula 1 Ferrari motor racing team boss Jean Todt and who is coincidentally a former Legion of Honour award winner too, received her award from France's ambassador to Malaysia, Alain du Boispean.


Michelle YeohMichelle Yeoh found international fame on the big screen when she co-starred with Pierce Brosnan in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies, and her latest film, the science fiction Babylon AD, is released next year.

Michelle Yeoh also starred in the films by Ang Lee - Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Memoirs of a Geisha.

Michelle Yeoh, who lives in Hong Kong, said proudly: "Deep down I am a small town girl... who has been living a magical dream."

Michelle Yeoh is currently playing a role being filmed for Mummy 3, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
