Queen’s Brian May & Roger Taylor for Mandela gig
Brian May and Roger Taylor, of the legendary rock band Queen, are on the bill for a charity concert in London next year in honour of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday to raise awareness of the former South African president’s 46664 HIV Aids campaign.

Nelson Mandela, who lost his son to Aids in January 2005, will be attending the concert, which takes place on 27 June.

Queen members to play Nelson MandelaBrian May and Roger Taylor assisted in the setting up of the 46664 campaign in 2003, aided by fellow rock stars Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame and Bono of the band U2, with the charity raising funds to spread awareness and fight HIV Aids.

46664 takes its name from the prison number, which Nelson Mandela was given when he spent 18 tears as a prisoner on Robben Island in South Africa.

Bono has been involved before as a performer when along with Beyonce he headlined the first concert held in South Africa back in November 2003.
